ABOUT TATA STEEL IBMD COAL
Tata Steel West Bokaro mines division caters to supply of secondary coal to both Retail and Institutional customers.The three segments of this secondary coal, namely Tailing, Middling & Rejects, of various calorific values and properties are suitable for different industries like power plants, coke industry, briquette industry, brick kilns etc. It is noteworthy that all buyers of these products must mandatorily comply to the basic government regulation ot being end users.
Needless to say, the volumes of coal generated from the West Bokaro colliery of Tata Steel is substantial. The cumulative offtake in FY 19 for both Retail and Institutional was around 13.67 lakh metric tonne. Besides, based on the quality, the product is well in demand and popular among industries.
